DJL Diving Koh Lipe Thailand

Davy Jones Locker (DJL) located at the western end of Pattaya beach, is a PADI Dive Centre.

DJL Diving's Koh Lipe dive school opened in 2011. The owner Tim often visited Lipe diving himself and decided he wanted to open a dive center here. The diving season runs from the beginning of October through to the end of April. Usually, this is when the dive school here is open, but in 2020 we're staying open all year.

DJL also has a PADI CDC on Koh Tao if you want to become a Diving Instructor.

Koh Lipe's dive sites are very different to the ones on the east coast of Thailand and around Koh Tao. The diving in the Taurtao National Marine Park you will see soft corals and many different fish.

DJL offers diving for people with diving licenses and no experience at all.

Fun Diving packages

These are for people who already hold diving certifications. DJL offers both single and multiple-day fun divng packages.

1 day Try Scuba Diving, no license required

Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) 1-day experiences are for people who don't have a diving qualification. These are ideal for people who either don't have enough time to take a diving course or want to give it a try first.

Get your diving license in 3 or 4 days

Take the PADI Open Water course with or without completing the PADI eLearning before you leave home.

Continue to learn more about diving

Take the Advanced Open Water course and get qualified to dive to 30m with 5 dives in 2 days.

Emergency First Responder (EFR) + Rescue Diver courses to prepare you whatever the situation.

Train to be a professional diver and get involved with the DJL Crew with the Divemaster course.

We don't offer the Instructor course (IDC) here but can offer that at our PADI Career Development Centre on Koh Tao.

E-learning PADI courses are available with DJL Diving

Open Water, Advanced, Rescue Diver, Nitrox all have PADI eLearning course options.

PADI is offering discounted prices on eLearning courses so you can sign up and complete the theory during the Covid-19 pandemic. Then when people can come to Thailand again you can complete the rest of the course on Koh Lipe when suits you.

Technical Diving and Rebreather courses

Davy Jones Locker offers Technical dive courses here on Koh Lipe. We offer the PADI Tec 40, Tec 45 and Tec 50 courses. PADI Sidemount and Technical Sidemount course. We also offer Rebreather courses and cater to people wishing to fun dive with their own Rebreathers.

For more specialist courses like Tec Instructor courses, contact us in advance, as the owner Tim Lawrence must be here to teach those. He also teaches Technical dive courses at our Koh Tao dive school and so it's important to schedule early. If you haven't booked call in at the dive shop to see if he is available to teach a course at short notice.

Koh Lipe Accommodation

We do have accommodation at DJL at our Beach Hostel which has, shared dorms and private rooms, contact us to check for availability. There are also quite a few other resorts very close to the dive shop.
