PADI Open Water course with eLearning
If you take the PADI Open Water course with eLearning, then you will just complete the practical part of the course here on Koh Lipe, as you will complete all of the theory for the course before you come to take the water based part of the course here with us via PADI's e-Learning.
When you sign up and make the deposit for the PADI eLearning then we'll issue the e-Learning to you. You'll then getan email with the e-Learning logon details so that you can then complete the course when it suits you. It's recommended that you allow around 12-15 hours to complete the eLearning, but you don't have to complete it all at once you can split this up how you like as you can save your progress as you work through the theory and then carry on from where you left off later.
Then you will then get to complete the fun diving part of the course in the Tarutao National Marine Park once you are on Koh Lipe. Remember you will also have to pay the Marine Park fee (currently 200 baht) on the dive course as the dive sites we visit on our dive trips are all located in the marine park.
On day one of the course when you come here you will meet up with your Instructor so that they can check through your eLearning and then they will give you a short multiple choice quiz to check that you can remember what you learned whilst completing the eLearning.
Then you will continue on with the Open Water course by completing the confined open water exercises which we do just off the beach in front of the dive shop. As we complete this just off the beach the times of when we do this do change as we do it during high tide, so if you are here the day before you are planning on continuing on with the Open Water course then you can check what time to come into the dive shop, you can also call through to the dive shop to check this too if you aren't staying close to the dive shop.
